Monument Capital Partners Launches
Philip McMann and Salman Husain, experienced senior investment bankers in the National Capital region, have launched Monument Capital Partners, where they will provide mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) and financial advisory services to middle-market companies in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services industry.
McMann and Husain established Monument Capital Partners, an independent, boutique investment bank, on the heels of closing their most recent and largest deal together – the sale of AT&T Government Solutions, Inc. to Tyto Athene. The two had a successful two years together following Husain’s arrival to Aronson Capital Partners in 2019. Since then, McMann and Husain have served as financial advisors on five deals focused on information technology, cybersecurity, and intelligence analysis across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
With more than 20 years of investment banking experience, McMann has successfully advised numerous private and publicly traded companies on corporate finance, buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, and strategic planning initiatives. His deep knowledge of the latest trends in the Information Technology, C4ISR, Telecommunications, and Cybersecurity markets and the missions of the U.S. Defense and Intelligence Community enable him to provide unique insight to his clients to assist them in achieving their strategic growth plans, building shareholder value, and executing transformational transactions.
Husain has five years of investment banking experience and has closed an aggregate deal value of more than $1 billion across 12 M&A transactions. He has advised on private placements and corporate divestitures for private companies, private equity firms, and public companies spanning the Defense Electronics, Cybersecurity, National Security, and Intelligence industries. Prior to his time as Vice President at Aronson Capital Partners, he was an Associate at KippsDeSanto for three years. Previously, he spent seven years as a Federal Strategy & Operations Consultant with IBM, Accenture, and ASET Partners.
